QualitySolicitors Jackson Canter is a unique law firm, offering services throughout Liverpool and Manchester.  Employees are integral to the successful running of their business.  The company is committed to staff training as a holder of the Law Society LEXCEL quality mark and is keen to continually develop their team.

The company approached Wurkplace to provide a review of existing HR processes with a view to improving systems,  providing staff training and enhancing performance management.  Personal development enables Jackson Canter to promote from within wherever possible, so this is a key priority for the business.

The solution

Wurkplace’s experienced HR team has provided a thorough review and implemented a number of changes for Jackson Cantor, including:-

  1. Following a number of focus groups, involving Directors, Senior Managers and Employees, worked with the business to implement changes directly related to the feedback.
  2. Reviewed existing policies, process and procedures to ensure the HR department were working effectively to the latest standards.
  3. Reviewed existing recruitment processes and developed a consistent recruitment and induction programme
  4. Improved employee holiday monitoring/authorisation processes
  5. Re-launched their new employee handbook
  6. Provided training for line managers to ensure latest policies and procedures are followed
  7. Introduced a performance management process
  8. Worked with the business on Employee Relations challenges
