Wurkplace shows our support for the entire team at Chester Zoo in the wake of the horrible news from this past weekend.

On 15th December 2018, a fire broke out in the Monsoon Forest area of Chester Zoo. Luckily, no one was harmed and the majority of animals were saved, but sadly some of the frogs, fish, insects and small birds died.

As of time of writing, over £120,000 has been raised by the public in support for our local zoo, and Chester Zoo has since been able to re-open. All of the animals effected have be re-homed and the park is running again thanks to the professionalism of the team.

This just goes to show, no matter how prepared you may be – accidents can still happen and have some terrifying consequences.

But it could have been a lot worse, and the Zoo is lucky that they had a team of highly trained professionals to make sure that everyone was kept safe and free from harm.

Is your business prepared for the events of a fire?
